Got my degree, it was good

Signed up for an Online Degree, a Bachelor of Arts. It was pretty easy to get everything sorted. The classes were online, so I could do them whenever. Lecturers seemed decent. Got my degree in the end, so all good. No real complaints, just studied and passed.

Detailed feedback on my study with Kaplan

I recently finished my Professional Certificates program in Project Management. The initial ordering process online was straightforward, and I received clear instructions for documentation. Delivery of my student ID and welcome pack was done within a week. The course content was well-structured, combining pre-recorded lectures with live online Q&A sessions. I had a technical issue accessing one of the online modules, but customer support resolved it within 24 hours after I emailed them. The quality of the instructors was high, and they were responsive to questions. This program has already helped me at my current job. The virtual library resources were also quite extensive, which was a nice bonus.

Consistent quality for degrees

I just completed my Bachelor of Science through Kaplan, my second degree with them. As with my previous Diploma in Business Administration, the online learning platform was reliable, and the support staff were always helpful. It's why I keep coming back – the consistency in their program delivery is really good, even with different university partners. Enrollment was smooth, just like last time.

Fantastic ACCA program!

My experience with the ACCA program at Kaplan was truly excellent! The instructors were very engaging, and the study materials were so thorough. I felt really well-prepared for my exams. The campus facilities were comfortable too. I'm so glad I chose Kaplan for this certification. Definitely recommending this to my colleagues at work!

Good course, slow response time

I enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program. The course content was robust, and the lecturers were knowledgeable, which was great value for the tuition. However, getting a response from student services about my module selection took a bit longer than I expected, around 3-4 days. The online portal for submissions worked perfectly, and I had no issues with the digital resources. Overall, a positive experience but some administrative aspects could be quicker.

Hey guys, wondering if Kaplan degrees are actually recognized by employers in Singapore? Don't wanna get a paper that no one cares about.

D Dan 2 months ago
They're generally well-regarded, especially the degrees from their partner universities like Murdoch or UCD. I know a few people who got good jobs with them.

Yeah, I think it's more about the actual university than Kaplan itself, since the degrees are awarded by the overseas unis. My boss didn't bat an eyelid when I told him it was a Kaplan-partnered degree.

How does Kaplan stack up against SIM GE or PSB Academy? I'm looking at a business diploma and these three are my top choices.

M Mark 1 month ago
Hmm, it really depends on the specific program and which university partner you're looking at. Kaplan has some pretty good UK/AUS uni partners, similar to SIM. PSB is also decent but maybe a bit different vibe. I'd compare the course modules directly.

I chose Kaplan over PSB because the specific degree I wanted had better recognition with Kaplan's partner. SIM is usually more expensive, from what I heard, but also has a strong rep. It's kinda personal preference.

Thinking of doing a part-time degree here, anyone know how long those usually take to finish? I'm trying to plan out my next few years.

C Cody N. 2 months ago
From what I remember, part-time degrees can vary a lot, but usually around 2-3 years if you're consistent. It depends on the program though, like if it's a top-up or a full degree.

Yeah, my friend did a part-time biz degree there and it was like 2.5 years. Felt pretty manageable with a full-time job too.

Heard about some early bird discounts. Is that still a thing? Or do I need to enroll super early to get those?

C Chris Okafor 1 month ago
Yep, early bird is definitely a thing! I got one when I signed up for my diploma last year. You usually have to sign up before a certain date for the upcoming intake. It's not like a coupon code or anything though, they just apply it.

Usually, the discounts are tied to specific enrollment periods, like a few months before the intake starts. Check with them directly when you're ready to apply, they'll tell you what's available.

My company is a corporate partner, will that get me a discount? Or is it just for specific programs?

K Kate Nguyen 2 months ago
Yeah, usually if your company is a partner, you're eligible for some kind of discount. It's usually a set amount, not a percentage off everything. Just make sure to mention it during your consultation.

Pretty sure corporate partner discounts apply to most programs, but the exact amount might vary. I think mine was like a few hundred bucks off for my professional cert.
